Cultural Resilience in the City

From community to stakeholders, where does community strength and identity come from? How can the role of architecture provide a bridge between conflict? Why is memory and place related, and why is this important in the regenerative process of rebuilding a city? This investigation is to understand how communities show cultural resilience and whether different approaches to rebuilding can be successful. i.e. bottom up placemaking, regeneration.
